BET Awards

With all due respect I am honored to see the Great performances last night even though I was very disturbed by some of the honorees and some of the performers. It's not that I'm so perfect myself but I sometimes wonder, by what degree do we allow these persons to represent us. By what levels do we decide who is worthy of honorable mention?

Now I'm certain that I'm not the neatest person by far but when will the time come for us to honor ourselves by dressing appropriately in public. Pants hanging down like that on National TV! Are you kidding me?

We have adapted distasteful attire and are now interchanging it with shrewdness and bottom-line tackiness. We have become drunken with the idea that it's okay to be a slob and dress like a hobo as long as I sell records and move units because they're gonna honor me anyway.

I'm just wondering if they are going to start handing out lifetime achievement awards to these buffoons years down the line putting them in a class with true honorees that have the total package- meaning image as well as achievements.

IMAGE is EVERYTHING....
